



Banepa, Kavre — Journalist and social activist Rajan Thapa has been presented with the ‘Outstanding Youth Journalism Award – 2025’ at the ‘Seventh Edition Kids of the Year International 2025’ organized by Radiant Event Management Agency.



The program was held grandly at Lotus Events and Reception in Banepa. The chief guest, Deepak Kumar Gautam, Chief of District Coordination Committee Kavre, and international model and fashion coach Raj Faizu presented Thapa with a certificate and honor.

Thapa, a resident of Sangla, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1, has been active in journalism and social service for the past decade. He has been presenting truthful and investigative content on issues of distortion, anomaly, culture, art, politics and public interest. He is also active in producing documentaries based on social reality and cultural issues.
Thapa has been conducting free health camps from chowk-galli to school-to-school in collaboration with organizations such as Om Samaj Dental Hospital, Isan Women and Children’s Hospital, Stupa Hospital, Green City Hospital, BP Smriti Hospital. He is also the only activist to conduct a 1-month health camp in the Mahayagya currently being conducted in the Pashupati area throughout the month of Shrawan.
Thapa has currently been nominated as a board member of Om Samaj Dental Hospital. He conducted 79 health camps last year alone and now he aims to organize more than 100 camps in the coming year.
He has already received various national honors before this. Thapa has received hundreds of honors from the national and international levels and has also received a Guinness World Record certificate.
A special honor was also given to Arsu Smriti Pratishthan as a “social organization of excellence” during the program.
